Different but the Same. (with Nicol Cobeñas)
When I started my blog, one of my goals was to be able to create a community of empowerment. We live in a society that tends to create competition among women, instead of promoting empowerment among one another. I truly believe and live by the idea that we are in this together! If we spread positivism to others, it will return back to us.
Therefore, I thought of creating a series called Different but the Same, where I could collaborate with other ladies to style an item that we are both currently loving. With the intention to showcase an item in different ways and that way embrace our unique styles while also giving you guys more outfit options.
I decided to start this series with one of my closest friends, Nicol. I have always admired her feminine style and her amazing makeup skills. Not only is she stylish but she also has an amazing heart and she is always inspiring me to be a better version of myself. One of her favorite winter/spring accessories are scarfs, so we styled our favorite scarfs from our individual collections. Scarfs are a great accessory to dress up any casual outfit. As you can tell we both enjoy big scarfs.
Hope you guys love the looks :)
For our first look we both went for a casual yet minimal outfit. Unintentionally, we both gravitated toward grey scarfs and paired it with jeans, booties, and black coats.
2. Second Look:
This second look we both took different directions. Nicol styled a pale pink scarf with a neutral vest, for a casual romantic look. This color palette is just perfect for Spring!
I took one of my favorite scarfs from Zara and styled it with a sherpa biker jacket, for more of a rocker chic vibe. An outfit better suited for Fall or Winter.
